Healthy Halloween Snack Hacks

Have a last-minute Halloween party tonight and stumped on snacks? We’ve got some easy and quick festive finger foods that will both fright and delight your ghoulish guests.

Last-minute Halloween Snacks

Halloween is a notoriously unhealthy holiday, with kids chowing down on chocolates and sweets while the grown-ups feast on booze and witches brews.  So, instead of setting out even scarier snacks filled with mystery ingredients, surprise your guests both big and small with cute and creative killer creations.

Healthy Halloween Snacks

Banana Ghosts in a Tangerine Pumpkin patch

Getting creative with the holiday seasons is as fun as it is simple to put together last-minute! All it takes is a little imagination and a few minutes to create a scene so sweet your Halloween party guests can’t wait to eat.

All you need:

  • bananas
  • nutella or melted chocolate
  • tangerines
  • celery
  • toothpicks

Orange Jack-O-Lantern Fruit Bowls

Forgot to carve a few pumpkins this year? Totally fine. There are plenty of organic orange fruits and veggies that are perfect substitutes for the typical tuber. For example, just by slicing up a quick orange, you can create a last-minute Halloween fruit bowl stuffed with your favorite berries! (That’s Mother Nature’s candy bowl!)

All you need:

  • oranges
  • raspberries
  • blackberries
  • blueberries
  • paring knife

Savory & Spooky Spider Crackers

Not all last-minute Halloween snacks have to be raw! There are plenty of ways to have salty and savory snacks too. This snack idea, with its creepy-crawly crunch, is a great last-minute save for hungry party people.

All you need:

  • crackers
  • a spreadable cheese, we love goat cheese
  • black olives
  • paring knife

Monster Burgers

When the time comes to chow down, a few simple steps can transform your basic burgers into deadly dinner monsters.

All you need:

  • hamburger buns
  • meat or meat substitute of choice
  • tomatoes
  • white cheddar or pepper jack
  • stuffed olives
  • long thin-sliced pickles

Perfect for a last-minute Halloween party, these burgers don’t take much to transform into goofy monsters with googly eyes! Simply slice your pepper jack or cheddar cheese in a zig-zag line down the center and then place them on your guests’ burgers with the “teeth” hanging out of the bun and over the patty. Take a pickle slice and drop it out the front like a lazy tongue, adding two gourmet olives with two toothpicks.

Day of the Dead Ideas

Dia De Los Huevos

Okay, so this one takes a steady hand and a little artistic flair, but with just a few sharpies and a dozen hardboiled eggs, you can make charming calaveritas just in time for Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos)

All you need:

  • eggs
  • sharpie
  • patience

Have a HEALTHY HALLOWEEN!
